With lively language full of wonderful animal words, it is an uplifting, funny story about individuality and the value of being yourself.

## About this book

Lion's Lunch? celebrates the things that make each of us different, wrapped in a funny, suspenseful jungle adventure. When Sarah strolls through singing, Lion is affronted: in his jungle, animals prowl, creep, swing, slither and roar, they certainly don't just walk and sing.

Fiona Tierney's text is a joy to read aloud, packed with rich, rhythmic animal words that children love to say. The tension builds nicely as Sarah faces becoming Lion's lunch, before her unique talent saves the day and wins the whole jungle over.

Beneath the fun sits a warm message about individuality and self-belief: the special thing that sets you apart is exactly what makes you valuable. An uplifting, characterful read that leaves little listeners smiling.
