When a music box captures the castle's attention, she decides she will be a musician too, builds herself a funnel trumpet, and launches into practice with total commitment. Tony Ross tells it with his signature warmth and comic timing, and the castle's less-than-delighted reactions give the story plenty of laughs. Underneath the fun sits a gentle truth: new skills sound a bit rough at first, and that is perfectly fine. Part of the beloved Little Princess series, it is a relatable, funny read for any determined young learner. A story that celebrates enthusiasm while smiling at how noisy it can be.
